Installation#

Download#

Warning

Please ensure you are using Alias 2024 as the connector is only compatible with this version. All older versions of the Alias connectors (2022 - 2023) are available on the Omniverse Launcher until they are deprecated on October 1, 2025.

Install#

Important

License Agreement: By downloading and installing the Omniverse connector you agree and accept the Omniverse Software License Agreement.

Follow these steps to install the Omniverse Connector:

  1. Download the Connector Installer: Visit the NGC Catalog to download the latest version.

  2. Unzip the Package: Once downloaded, unzip the package to access the installer. The location you unzip will be the same folder as the plugin installation location.

  3. Run the Installer: Locate and run the Install.bat file to start the installation process.

  4. Installation Location:

    • The plugin installation will be located in the directory where you unzip and run the Install.bat file.

    • The installer will edit: %APPDATA%AutodeskAliasUserPrefs2024.1AliasPluginList by inserting path-toAliasOmniPlugin.plugin

Uninstall#

To uninstall the Omniverse Connector, follow these steps:

  1. Run the Uninstaller:: This can be found in the unzip plugin folder. Locate and run the Uninstall.bat file to start the uninstallation process.

  2. Uninstall the Plugin: The uninstaller will remove the plugin from your system.

Note

If you installed the connector in a specific location, ensure that you have the necessary permissions to uninstall it.

Legacy Alias Connectors#

  • Alias Connectors for versions 2022 - 2023 are available on the Omniverse Launcher until they are deprecated on October 1, 2025.

  • The Omniverse connector for Alias 2024 will continue to be available on the NGC catalog.
